The real reasons AdSense rejects new sites (and how to fix each one)
Decoding Google's vague AdSense rejection emails. We list the real reasons behind each canned message and the fix for each.
Google's rejection emails are intentionally vague. Here's what each canned reason actually means, based on hundreds of reviewed applications.
"Low value content"
The most common rejection. Translation: your articles are too thin, too generic, or too similar to what's already on the web. Fix: rewrite your weakest 5–10 posts into 1,000+ word deep-dives with original screenshots, data, or experience.
"Insufficient content"
You don't have enough indexed pages yet. Fix: publish at least 20 posts and confirm each is indexed (site:yourdomain.com/path).
"Site does not comply with Google policies"
Almost always means restricted content (adult, violent, hacking, illegal drugs) or copied images. Fix: audit every post against the AdSense Program Policies and remove or rewrite anything borderline.
"Navigation is too difficult"
Your reviewer couldn't find pages they expected to see. Fix: a top-level menu with Home, Categories, About, Contact, Privacy fixes 90% of these.
